From 15 January till 28 January 2025, some of our ATMs will dispense only RM10 fit-for-gifting notes.
'Fit-for-gifting' notes (or 'fit' notes for short) are not brand-new notes issued by the BNM. Fit notes refer to notes that meet the quality criteria and standard to be kept in circulation as determined by BNM, including for festive gifting.
In our efforts to reduce carbon footprint and to support the government's and bank’s sustainability initiatives, we strongly encourage customers to play their part by opting for fit-for-gifting notes, which is more environmentally-friendly.

Yes, you can still walk into any UOB branch to exchange for the fit-for-giving notes without prior online reservation.
We encourage you to make an online reservation for the fit-for-gifting notes during the CNY period ensure that those who have made prior online reservations are able to get their hands on the limited supply of fit-for-gifting notes during the festive period, and also help to control crowds at branches.

No, this online reservation and physical exchange of the fit-for-gifting notes is only available to UOB customers, and on a first-come, first-served basis.
In line with the government and bank’s sustainability initiatives, UOB branch may not have new notes for exchange regardless booking were made online or customer opt to walk into the branch.
Customers can access our new or fit-for-gifting notes reservation form by clicking at the Lunar New Year banner after logging on to their UOB Personal Internet Banking, or the UOB TMRW app. Please be guided by the following steps before confirming the reservation:
There will be a confirmation page shown and an email will be sent to you upon successful submission. Our UOB staff will contact you between 2-4 days before the appointment date to confirm your reservation.
The Online Reservation are based on a first-come, first-served basis at a list of participating branch. If you cannot find your preferred branch, date and/or time slot from the listing, it is likely that all the reservation slots for that branch have been taken up. You may wish to try another branch, date and/or time slot that may still be available.

The online reservation window period for fit-for-gifting notes opens from 8 January to 22 January 2025. Appointment slots for notes collection are available from 15 January to 27 January 2025.

No, customers can only collect the notes that they have reserved at their pre-selected branch and reservation date and time slot. Should customers be unable to make it, the Bank reserves the right to release the fit-for-gifting notes to other walk-in customers in need.
Please note that collection must be done in person with your NRIC or passport, and customer’s UOB Debit Card for verification purposes. The exchange will be debited from customer's UOB Current or Savings account with the Bank on the date of collection.

Customers need to show the proof of online reservation to get a Priority Service Ticket to speed track your notes collection.
Should customers missed the time slot allocated, the Bank reserves the right to release the fit-for-gifting notes to other walk-in customers in need. Customer will need to get a general queue ticket for the notes exchange.
If you would like to exchange more than the reserved bundle, you are require to get a general queue ticket at the branch service counter.
