- Sole proprietors/companies/clubs and societies who have corporate accounts with us are eligible to apply for UOB Business Internet Banking.
- Minimum requirement specifications:
- Personal Computer: Pentium II processor with 64MB RAM or higher
- Modem: 33.6 kbps modem, but preferably a 56 kbps modem or broadband access for best results
- Operating System: Windows 9X, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP or Windows NT 4.0
- Browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) 5.5 (SP2) and higher, with strong (128-bit) encryption capability
- Internet Access: An Internet account with any Internet Service Provider or access via Local Area Network
- UOB Business Internet Banking will support an 800 x 600 screen resolution. However it is best viewed at a 1024 x 768 screen resolution.
- You can visit any UOB branch to obtain the necessary Application Forms. Alternatively, you can simply download and print out the Application Form. Submit the completed application form together with a resolution from your Board of Directors (where applicable) to your account maintaining branch.
When your registration for UOB Business Internet Banking is approved, your nominated Company Administrator(s) will receive their ID and Password mailers via post. Token holders will be requested to collect their Tokens at the Bank.
- Yes, it is. As long as you meet the minimum system requirements listed in Question 4 above, you will be able to access UOB Business Internet Banking anytime, anywhere.
- You can select from any one of the four Product Packages currently offered under UOB Business Internet Banking. The Packages are :-
- Account Information (Account and Trade Enquiry)
- Account Information, Account Services and Trade Services. (Cheque Services, Bill Payment, Fixed Deposit Placement, Funds Transfer, Statement Request, Loan Repayment, Letter of Credit, Bank Guarantee, Banker's Acceptances Payment, Trust Receipt Payment & Debit Note Enquiry)
- Account Information, Account Services, Trade Services and Remittance. (Cashier's Order, Ringgit Demand Draft, New Share Application & Local Telegraphic Transfer)
- Account Information, Account Services, Trade Services, Remittance and Cash Management Services. ( Bulk Issuance of Cashier's Order, Interbank Giro Payment & Payroll Services)
- Yes, as long as the other personal computer meet the minimum system requirements as listed above in Question 4.
- Yes, as long as your personal computer has Internet access while you are overseas, you will be able to access UOB Business Internet Banking.
- UOB Business Internet Banking has a system in place that provides a high standard of security for banking over the Internet. This security system employs Secured Sockets Layers 128-bit encryption (the highest level of encryption generally available today) and a two-tier authentication technology that uses a User ID and Password to safeguard the confidentiality of your corporate account information and banking transactions.
In addition, monetary transactions will require authorisation by the account signatories through the use of a personal Token and related PIN.
The mandate for the approval of these monetary transactions will be governed by the Authorisation Profiles as instructed by you in the UOB Business Internet Banking service registration form.
- For IE 5.5 & IE 6.0
1. On the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, click Internet Options.
2. Click the Content tab.
3. In the Personal information area, click AutoComplete.
4. Under Clear AutoComplete history, click Clear Passwords.
5. A dialog box will prompt, "Clear all previously saved form passwords?". Click OK
6. Click OK to exit.
- Yes. For transfers to another UOB account, you will need to nominate the third party account by indicating on the column provided in the UOB Business Internet Banking Service Registration Form or the UOB Business Internet Banking Change Request Form. For transfer to accounts with other banks, you can perform a Local Telegraphic Transfer.
- To make an online Bill Payment, just select an existing template that has been previously set up. You can also set up a new Bill Payment arrangement by filling in the required information (eg. Name of Service Provider, Bill Reference No., etc.) and sending the request to an authorised signatory for approval.
- Currently, there are 21 Service Providers available for selection in UOB Business Internet Banking (which you can view as a UOB Business Internet Banking customer upon logging in). New Service Providers are constantly being added to the list to better serve your payment needs.

Set Cipher Strength to 128-bit encryption:
- Go to the browser menu.
- Click on 'Help' and then select 'About Internet Explorer'.
- At the pop-up window, if 'Cipher Strength' is not 128-bit, click on 'Update Information'.
- You will then be directed to the Microsoft website where you should download the appropriate security pack suitable for your system.
- Go to the browser menu.
- Click on 'Tools', select 'Internet Options' and then click on the 'Advanced' tab.
- Ensure that the 'Use TLS 1.0" checkboxes under 'Security' are enabled.
- Go to the browser menu.
- Click on 'Tools', select 'Internet Options' and then click on the 'Security' tab.
- Click on the 'Internet' icon.
- Click on 'Custom Level'.

Set Cipher Strength to 128-bit encryption:
- For all services available on UOB Business Internet Banking (except enquiries), a transaction code is assigned to you on-screen when the transaction is successfully completed. Hence, it is important that you wait for the transaction code to appear on the screen before you change screens or exit from UOB Business Internet Banking. For assistance, please call UOB Business Internet Banking Helpdesk at (6) 03-2772 6000.
- Depending on the demand for its services, UOB Business Internet Banking may take a while to process requests relating to Token Maintenance. Once the request has been submitted, please wait for a response from the system and do not press the 'Submit' button again or 'Refresh' the page.
When saving the login screen of UOB Business Internet Banking into 'My Favourites' list, please ensure that you save this URL (https://biz.uob.com.my) in 'My Favourites'
To save this link:
- Proceed to the UOB Business Internet Banking Login Page by selecting the link above.
- In the 'My Favourites' drop-down menu in the Internet Explorer Browser, select 'Add to Favourites' Option.
- Type in a description that describes the UOB Business Internet Banking Page.

- If you encounter the above situation, please check if your browser settings have been configured as follows:
Cipher Strength using 128-bit encryption:

TSL 1.0 for accessing secured sites using HTTPS is enabled:
- Go to the browser menu.
- Click on 'Tools', select 'Internet Options' and then click on the 'Advanced' tab.
- Ensure that the 'TSL 1.0" checkboxes under 'Security' are enabled.
Other security settings that must be enabled:
- Go to the browser menu.
- Click on 'Tools', select 'Internet Options' and then click on the 'Security' tab.
- Click on the 'Internet' icon.
- Click on 'Custom Level'.
- Under 'Cookies', ensure all Cookies options are enabled.
- You will need your Company ID, User ID, Password, Security Token and Token Pin to login. If you are Company Administrator and Company Signatory, your Company ID, User ID, Password, Security Token and Token Pin will be mailed to you. If you are the Company User, the Company ID, User ID, Password, Security Token and Token Pin will be issued by your Company Administrator.
- If you are the Company User and you have forgotten your ID and/or Password, you should consult your Company Administrator. However, if you are the Company Signatory or Company Administrator and have forgotten your Password, please contact UOB Business Internet Banking Helpdesk at (6) 03-2772 6000.
- You cannot change your Company ID and User ID. However, you may change your Password any time.
- While we have taken steps to keep your company's account and transactional information secure, you also play a major role in ensuring the security of such information. You must memorise your Company ID / User ID and Password and never write them down or reveal them to anyone.
To further protect your company's account and transactional information while banking via UOB Business Internet Banking, you can do the following:
- Change your Password when you access UOB Business Internet Banking for the first time (the system will enforce password change upon your first logon). We recommend that you change your Password regularly as an added security measure.
- Clear the browser's cache after each session in UOB Business Internet Banking so that details of your transactions are removed.
- Log out properly after you have completed your online banking activities at all time.
